What comes standard on every website design build

Looking good is the easy part. Anyone can hand you a pretty website template. Good website design earns its keep when the structure underneath it is right, so here is what comes standard on every build.

01

One clear job for every page

Every page is built around a single thing you want the visitor to do next.

02

Built to load fast on a phone

Compressed images, lean code, and a host that is not oversold. Most small business websites we build load in under two seconds on mobile.

03

Structure search engines can read

Sensible page hierarchy, clean internal links, and titles written for humans first.

04

Google reviews on the page

Recent Google reviews pulled in where they do the most good, near the point of decision.

05

Contact that's hard to miss

Tappable phone in the header, forms that work, and a call to action repeated down the page.

06

Built to grow with your business

Adding a service or a location later does not mean starting over.

Already have a website that's not pulling its weight?

A website redesign is not always the answer. We start with an honest look at what you have and tell you plainly whether your website design is worth fixing or worth replacing.

01

Speed

How long it actually takes to appear on a phone on cell data, not on your office wifi.

02

Structure

Whether your services each have a real page, or are buried in one long scroll.

03

Mobile

What the site does at 390 pixels wide, where most of your traffic is.

04

Path to contact

How many taps from landing to reaching you, and where people drop out.

05

Maintenance

What is out of date, unsupported, or quietly broken behind the scenes.

How a Kelowna website design project runs

01 / Day 1 to 5

A conversation

What you sell, who buys it, and what you want the site to do. No questionnaire theatre.

02 / Day 5 to 15

Plan the pages

We map out what pages exist and what each one is for before anything gets designed.

03 / Day 15 to 25

Content and photos

We sort out copy and images together, since this is what stalls most website design projects.

04 / Day 25 to 50

Design and build

You see real pages, not mockups, and give notes as it comes together.

05 / By day 60

Design finished

The build is complete and ready for your final review.

06 / Up to you

Launch and hand off

Once your last changes are in, we launch the website design, check the details, and walk you through running it.

Website design across Kelowna and the Okanagan

Based in downtown Kelowna, we take on website design for businesses throughout the Okanagan, including West Kelowna, Lake Country, Winfield, Peachland, Summerland, Penticton, and Vernon. Local means we can meet at your shop, and it means your site is built by someone who knows the market you sell into.

We work remotely with clients further afield, currently in Ontario and across the US, so if you are outside the valley the process runs the same over a call.

Website design questions we get asked.

How much does website design cost?

Every website is priced on its own. What it costs depends on how many pages you need, what the site has to do, and how much custom work goes into it. Integrations, performance tuning, and room to grow all factor in.

A site built to last takes more planning up front, and it shows. Tell us what your business does and what the site needs to accomplish, and we'll give you a fixed quote before any work starts."

How long does it take?

Most sites are finished within 60 days of us starting. The real timeline depends on how quickly you can get us your content and feedback, since that is usually the part that sets the pace. You get a schedule up front, so you always know what is coming next.

Do I own the site?

Yes. The site is built on WordPress, and everything stays in your name: the domain and the files. If you ever decide to work with someone else, we'll provide a complete export and you take the whole thing with you. Nothing is held back and nothing is held hostage. The one thing to note is that premium plugins included with your hosting aren't part of the export, so they would need to be purchased separately if you move your site.

Can I update it myself?

Yes. WordPress is built for that, and we set things up so the parts you are most likely to change, like text, photos, hours, and services, are easy to edit without touching the design. We walk you through it before launch, and if you would rather we handle updates, we can do that too.

Do you do e-commerce?

No, we do not build online stores. Our sites are made to bring in local work: calls, bookings, and quote requests, rather than to process orders and inventory. If selling products online is your main goal, you are better served by a designer who specializes in e-commerce, and we are glad to point you in the right direction.

What happens after launch?

You get a site that is yours to run, and we do not disappear. We offer WordPress hosting and Google review management if you want us to keep things maintained, and we are here for questions when they come up. There is no lock-in either way, so you decide how hands-on you want us to be.

Will my website show up on Google?

We build every site so search engines can read it properly: clean structure, real page titles and headings, fast load times, and your location named where it matters. That gives Google what it needs to rank you, though no honest designer can promise a number one spot. For local searches in your town, saying the right things in the right places is most of the battle.

Do you provide hosting?

Yes, we offer WordPress hosting as a separate service, and most clients take it so they have one place to go when something needs attention. You are never required to host with us, though. The site is yours, so you can host it wherever you like.

Do we have to meet in person?

No. The whole process runs over a call and a screen share, from the first conversation through to launch. It works the same whether you are down the street in Kelowna or an hour up the highway, which means you are not waiting on a calendar slot for a site visit.

Do you write the content, or do I?

A bit of both. You know your business better than we do, so we ask you for the raw details, then shape them into copy that reads well and helps you get found. If writing is not your thing, say so and we will take on more of it. Either way, nothing goes live that you have not signed off on.

Let's get you found.

Tell us what your business does and what the site needs to accomplish. You will get a straight answer on scope, cost, and timing.
